Xperia S doesn't connect to HTTPS over 3G

Quite strangely, secure connections work perfectly over WiFi, but NOT over 3G. I have experienced no problem if the connection is not secure.

From the default browser, I receive the error "A secure connection could not be established", from applications (i.e. FB or Gmail or Google Maps) it just times out.

Is there a way to fix this issue? Android version: 4.0.4

Thanks for your help.

Hmm, seems strange. Haven't experienced this myself with Xperia S. Does the same thing occur when using another SIM-card in the phone?

Hi Samuel,

Thanks for the hint. Apparently the APN set by the provider via configuration message doesn't support secure connections - they had another one which worked fine. I know this sounds stupid ))

Happy New Year.
