Xperia S bug compilation

Straight to the point. Here are all the bugs Ive encountered with my Xperia S so far. Im using the latest firmware. 45

1. Blurry pictures. Do this: in an indoor setting, average to low light. Set to night mode. Half press until camera locks. Notice how perfectly sharp the image appears to be. Press the camera all the way. You will notice that it is a completely different picture from the one you see while it is locked. Why is that?

Tip: go to a picture, options then go to photo editor, tap the right most icon and scroll to the right most option that says sharpness. Notice the drastic improvement in the photo. Why cant we just have the same picture without needing to edit? Moreover, how come locking in night mode under medium to low light gives such a sharp and crisp picture but comes out blurry right after you snap it? And no, i used a stand so there was no movement. he blurry issue has been a hot topic and until now, no words from sony. Probably means they messed up hardware on xperia s and nothing they can do about it which is why they chose to keep quiet.

2. In call loudspeaker volume. This has been a pain in the neck issue but people overlook it. All my friends who has an xperia s have this issue it is a software bug cause music is working fine. And no, dont tell me just because it is low for me means that it is a software failure. It is not low, it is not audible. You cant use it outdoors. And indoors, you can barely hear the speaker from 1 feet away. No exaggeration. Try it for yourself.  It doesnt hurt to pick up a sample phone to test this one so please sony. Make some actions.

3. Ui lag. This is the most common issue there is. Notice how their low end phones only has 512mb ram which brings them to 300+ user accessible ram but they always have at least 100 free ram on normal apps running. While we have 1g ram. 600+ user accessible i think but end up having the same low available memory on average apps running. Which means that they give us more ram but put in more bloat. As a result, multi tasking is a pain in the ass because low ram = low memory = force close some apps = laggyness.. Whats the point of more ram if your going to put in more useless apps that we dont even bother to use? Its embarassing that a low end phone can be more smooth in terms of scrolling given that there are no apps running. This is an epic fail on the part of sony which is why people looking forward for the project butter in jellybean.

4. Wakelocks. Even all apps removed, the phone never goes to deep sleep. Sometimes it will sometimes it wont. I get a day of normal usage but i want to be able to maximize given how crappy 1750mah on a 4.3 hd screen is.

5. I dont understand why image stabilizer cannot work at the same time with iso setting. Is this a bug as well?

6. Launcher redraw. Again, low ram cause this to happen. The system needs to close some apps to free up memory when you are multi tasking. As a result, whenever you go to home page, everything will load from scratch again. Poor ram management on sonys part.

Thats all for now.. These are confirmed bugs and not a defect issue.. Sony look into this please..

Thank you petter. Hope it gets better in the next update..

Btw, i noticed the significant improvement with the launcher redraw and smoothness in the. 45 update. It still persists, but compared to. 42, the difference is big. Good work sony.. But still not perfect. Keep the updates coming!

Call loudspeaker volume is not a bug. It's not the loudest but comparable to some other phones. I never set volume max because sound is a little bit distorted.

(edit: sorry you meant the loudspeaker at the backside  and not the ear speaker. Loudspeaker is low indeed. I never use it.)

Lag is gone with new update. Other bugs you mention I have to try.

Does nobody care about the quick launch function of the camera? That should be the main feature of the xperia S. Please fix it, the newest patch still didn't fix the bug completely. It is still a hit and miss for many people. For the people that says it works, it's because you're trying it right after you close the screen. If you wait and let it sleep for about 2-3 mins into it, your success rate will be very low.

Sony, please look into it because the quick launch feature is one of the most important features of the xperia S. It is rather annoying to upgrade to ICS and have it missing.

Yeah add that to the list. I thought this issue was sorted out in the. 45 update but i guess not..

Another issue is the scroll log. When you scroll a page and you hit a button that navigates you away from the page and hit the back button, it takes you all the way to the top where you have to scroll all the way down again. Its really annoying say your looking for an app in the playstore..

Another one to add to the list:

Phone now gets hot faster.. It wasnt like this before the update. Now it easily gets 43c and up!

I have an Xperia S, it says LT26i on the back cover which means it is an S right ??

so this is my RAM, I wonder if there's really a 1gb ram inside but I doubt. I bought it from a shop that brings them from POLAND. So is it a bug, is it really a 1gb ram inside ?!?!?!?!??!?!??!?!

phone has only facebook running with the standard android services.

here's the RAM usage:

378 MB USED

261 MB FREE

on another notice, with the latest firmware and when pressing the back button on google play (store) app always the fade effect lags a bit.

battery status: 34%
