Xperia S & Bravia Sync issues

I recently bought an Xperia S (Middle east version) and wanted to connect it to my SONY TV (klv-52w400a) via HDMI. The video output plays fine and the tv automativally boots (on top left it says 'cell phone') up however the remote control is not working. I also have a PS3 and a SONY BLU-RAY and both work perfectly fine with the tv remote.

First of all you should check so both the TV and your phone are updated.

The phone can be updated with PC Companion,

Also, if the TV got a setting for it, make sure HDMI-CEC is activated.

Thanks i have checked my phone and it had the latest software update. However how can i check my tv if its updated?

There is nothing in the support page (for the tv) to provide the latest firmware

I actually don't know how to update the TV (or if it's even possible).

Contact the support on this and see what they say.
