Try installing SUS found here emma.extranet.sonyericsson.com/update_service_setup and running the repair function

When using SUS are you connecting your phone in flash mode by turning off your phone holding the volume down button then inserting the usb cable - This should then enter flashmode and repair your phone

If that still does not work then you only have 1 option and thats to do it manually

To do this you need 2 things

1 - Flashtool

2 - FTF file aka Firmware

Instructions - Ignore the title debrand it's the process you need http://www.xperiablog.net/2012/03/26/debrand-your-xperia-s-tutorial/

Firmware can be found http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1599303

this is what to do

  1. connect your Xperia to the wall charger > press and hold the power button and volume up for 8 seconds
  2. let it charge for 30min
  3. after 30min try to turn it on
  4. now you can manually repair your phone

I have given it to the Sony service center. They said its due to board problem and it can't be repaired. My phone was working fine before the update. After the failed update it showed an alert Symbol for some time and then phone didnt start. is this board problem due to failed update ?..the phone is just 4 months old.. I realy regret for buying this Phone.
