Xperia Ray will not select, copy, cut or paste

I have lost the ability to select, copy, cut and paste in text mode. I get a small blue rectangle under the curser in text mode and I can move and insert the curser wherever I like, but I get no selection option and no copy, cut and paste balloon. I have reset the handset to factory settings and I have selected and deselected all text input options available. My phone software is up to date and I do recall this happened on an earlier system software version. I can't remember what happened or what I did to get the pop up text options back. Any idea what can be my problem?

Just repair your phone using the sus service and it shall work fine. Dont forget to backup your contacts and other stuff.

All the data from your device will be deleted and u will have a fresh install.

In your case I think this is the problem. According to  2nd scteenshot you can do all above. There "paste" mentioned for "whole text" paste. Only you want to paste selecetd part(also copied by tap & hold then move two parts>> copy botton I shown there), tap & hold the place what you want to paste. Then you can see paste popup button to paste.

I think this is the problem you got..
