OTG (external memory) pendrive error with media

When I connect my xperia U with a pendrive (I tried with 2 pendrives) using a OTG USB, I can read the files and for example play music, but that music or images wont add to my library of the default image and music player. I also tried with some media scanners, but they dont solve my problem. Any idea?

Hey J if u connect the OTG cable there is a saparete partition alotted for USB storage. so u cant get music, videos pictures in the library. U need to open one by one since it is in saparate partition its like in a zip file where we can play one music at a time and not together

IF u root ur model  u can redesign the partition. I rooted my mobile the partitioned my space
For android system- 600MB
For apps               - 400MB
So now i have 6.9GB in internal memoery . Since i am a gamer i look for storage. Now a days size matter

If u see every Android OS even Jelly Bean is Bellow 500MB so why we need to alot 2gb for android system
And if the app comes above 100mb we can move to internal memory
