Xperia ray rebooting again and again :/

Hi 

All of a sudden my ray stops working. When I switch it on it goes on until the homescreen appears and then within 2 sec it starts a reboot and it goes on and on. As a result it was out of charge for a while. Now when I plug in a usb it won't even start charging. After going through some forums I tried updating but exactly when I connect the usb cable to ray a pop up comes like this " The last USB device you connected to this computer malfunctioned and windows does not recognise it" and the mobile just blinks red after that without charging. Please someone help me out here.

I suggest that you try to remove SIM card and SD card from the phone. 

If that doesn't make any difference I suggest that you repair the phone software using PC Companion:

In PC Companion, press start on Support Zone > Start on Update the phones software > Press the blue link that says "Repair phone". Do this without the phone connected to the PC. Follow the instructions given to you in the program.
