XPERIA RAY BATTERY PROBLEM

Hi all,

I am new in this forum, so i apologize if i post in a wrong forum/thread. I need some help regarding thye battery of my XPERIA RAY, i just bought it two months, in the start it is ok, just three days ago i face a problem in the battery, it is not charging, i tried to buy a new battery, phone works and when the battery went to 10% remaining and i plug in the charger instead of charging, the battery went totally drain, now it cannot open even i plug in the charger. what should i do now? what mybe the problem? the mobile?

Can you help me on this matter please.

The exact same thing happened to me.

Do a master reset while your battery still have juice left.  Then your Ray will charge again.

If your Ray battery is dead, use another SE battery that's smaller in size and hold the battery up against the phone's pin connectors to power up and master reset the Xperia Ray.

After this non charging issue happened, I proceeded to update to ICS 4.0.4.  But it was a mistake.

Then I had problems with mobile internet with ICS so I am getting the service center to flash back to GB 2.3.4.

Anyways, I wondered what exactly caused this non charging issue in the Ray.

It's certainly not hardware related because after the master reset, it charged just fine.

Before the charging problem occured, I did uninstall the Mcafee moible security app because after registering, I found out it was only a 7 day trial.

After uninstalling the app, I got 2 very weird coded SMS from Mcafee.  I wondered if it was some security code that caused my Ray to not charge as a security feature.

Try to remove the battery for a few minutes.

Then back.

Do not switch on the phone.

Connect the original charger and cable and let the phone charge min. 5 hours.

thanks for the help, just want to ask some Q, how to do the master reset? it is the same as the factory reset? because i make it already. but still the same happened. Even i upgrade the mobile to Android 4 but still instead of charging, battery is draning, I am using all accesorires original, i even plug directly or to the usb.

I already make this one but still not working. so sad. I gifted this mobile to someone and now i should fix this problem!
