Xperia PRO Light Sensor

hi SMC. Now I'm writing an application that uses a light sensor, and encountered a problem. I can't turn to my device's Light Sensor with Sensor API.

This code work good with HTC Aria but dont work with Xperia PRO. What im doing wrong? How can I control my ALS? Thanks:)

I think you will have to root your phone to be able to gain access over your phone's system completely
