xperia pro camera flash problem

shots in the dark or low light conditions retains a ring of light on the side where the flash is. because of this, it's brighter on that side and you know that it's the burst of light from the flash. i don't know if this is a design flaw thinking that the flash-lense distance should be a bit more nearer or a software problem which causes a delay with the coordination of the flash and the lense. i'm also having a hunch with the plastic film protector at the back too as it possibly scatters the light from the surface that's why this happens.

anyone here experiencing the same thing?

just a comparison from my n900

as you can see, there's always a whitish light on the right side of the photos from my xperia pro. i don't know if the skinomi is causing the light to scatter or the lense-flash distance as it's farther compared to my n900's or a software issue of a possibility of a delay from flash/lense...

are you using a protective case?

cloudstrife1ph

like otter box, crystal case and the likes? nope!

just the skinomi transparent plastic film to prevent scratches...

does that cover the back of the phone either

1) the camera lens?

and/or

2) the flash LED?

cloudstrife1ph

no. there's an allotted holes for those.

i can't disregard the fact that skinomi might possibly causing it as i haven't tried taking shots before i put it. it's my habit of putting skinomi before using my phones to avoid oil and smudges...

but still, it could be the other two..

it took me just now to try taking pictures without the back cover. i found out that it's the skinomi doing it. light is being scattered and bounced off on the surface between the flash and the lense...
