xperia play wont start up

I tried getting on the internet on my phone, but i got kicked off and took back to the browser app. I turned the phone off then back on but it vibrated, showed the sony ericsson sign then went back to a black screen, i'v tried taking the battery out and putting it back in again but when i turn it on again it does the same thing. Any help on the matter would be very welcome cheers

First of all, try leaving it plugged in to the charger for about 20-30 minutes.

If the problem still persist after this, try repairing the software via PC Companion.
