Updateded to ICS two days ago, after this it's impossible to use POP3 server to fetch mail from server, works once but then stops.
If I delete account and add it again it works - once....
Solution anyone?
Could it be wi-fi related issue? When it stops retreiving messages can you check if you can browse the internet for example?
Hi,
Sorry to say no, internet browser and gmail app works fine.
Thanks for posting and welcome to the forum first of all!
Have you tried with more then one account, or just one? Might be wise to see if it's consistent with any account so your able to locate the problem a bit.
I use a Xperia P with a POP3 account myself, and it works like a charm.

Thanks,
I've tried with three different accounts and the problem remains.
Made some tests this morning and I can POP mail twice for each account.
Third time the retreive message is visible for a 10:th of a second so I believe it does not connect to server.
Fantastic - Why bother write here?? According to my first post the question is supposed to be answered.
So far the only info I've got is that someone in the support team uses his Xperia with POP3 and it works like a charm, well - my does not!!
I think I will throw my Xperia in the wastebasket and buy myself a Galaxy or iPhone instead - no wonder you loose marketshares ....
Sounds like it would be an idea to check with another mail client to see if the problem remains. For example you can try with K9 Mail, availalbe from Play Store.
In this case you have to "try and fail" to be able to find out exactly what might be the issue I'm afraid. These kind of issues is a bit tricky and there for it's not always so easy to sort out.

Not sure if you have admin access to the servers or Wireshark (which will let you look at the network packets). In case you do have access to the mail server take a look at the log files and see if you can find anything there... Wireshark can also help but requires a certain degree of network knowledge.
Have you tested IMAP or Exchage?
Petter,
1. With GB it worked fine
2. As said earlier, I can pop mail 2 times from each account. The third time I try the phone does not connect to server at all..
3. In desperation I made a new update yesterday and the phone went into a even worse state with WiFi-, cell network- and bluetoth problems.
One could suspect that Sony keeps different FW versions on a number of servers - if you're lucky you might hit the right server when downloading.....
iPhone decision just became closer.....
