Xperia P overheating

My Xperia P is overheating everytime when I use it for about 30 minutes straight. It always overheats as long as you use it for a few minutes straight no matter what are you doing (playing, surfing etc.) Any solutions?

Also, will rooting, flashing cwm recovery and flashing roms void your warranty?

Yes it will void your warranty wich is something I won't recommend as for heating problem, it is something that you have to live with , my Xperia s gets heated too

Can you elaborate on the overheating issue mentioned? I only ask as it is normal for the phone to generate heat when in use but this should not cause any faults or errors in most cases.

The back of the phone gets very hot and when I checked the temperature of the processor it said 44 degree celsius. Its annoying as it is not only warm but really hot.
