Xperia P outer body

I was surprised to find that the topmost part of my Xperia P is plastic, after the part got scratched and plastic is showing underneath. Was everyone else aware of this?

I expressly bought the phone because of the Aluminium unibody advertisement, and got a plastic bottom cap (Transparent Bar was pretty obvious). Now this top part is also plastic, and this fact has not been mentioned anywhere.

Well, it's not really a secret. You can feel that it's plastic compared to the aluminium "main body". As far as I know these bits has to be plastic due to the antennas for bluetooth, wifi etc underneath.
