xperia p notification problem

day b4 yesterday i updated my xperia p to ICS. till now all went good but just 10 min b4 notification ringtone doesn't seem to work, the phone only vibrates while notifying something(new message, or any popup....etc ). please help me out in this. tried changing my notification tone, set the volume to max but nthng worked for me.

yes please try re installing update  from pc this solved my problem use sony pc companion . . . .my poblem is solved using it . . . . .hope it will be the same with you

i tried  re updating from sony pc companion and gues was its working my notification tune is just fine y dnt u try out n see

go to sonymobile.com download sony pc companion then follow the steps guided by at one point it will ask ur mobile has latest update do u want to repair or reinstall the version (stuff like that) then click on that then again follow the procedure given by the system hope this would solve ur problem dont forget to back up ur phone then go to the support zone and follow the instructions

it will fix ur notification problrm

fix ur album problem

hdmi problem

camera problem

Same issue..NO NOTIFICATION sounds after ICS update..major flaw in this update..I have tried this in 3-4 Xperia P handsets..but problem still persist...may be some application or its update is doing all this..but This is very irritating..SONY WAKE UP!!! and rectify the problem...

I tried what vivekreddy suggested.I upgrade my ICS yesterday night and still i am not facing any problem.

I think this is working good.

Please try this,

1.Uninstall  sony pc companion.

2.Download latest version of  sony pc companion from sonymobile.com

3.Install PC Companion.

4.Connect your phone and goto support zone.

5.Click on Update/repair and update ur Phone.(dont forget to back up ur phone)

I also tried the same thing..followed all steps chose "Repair Phone".... Notifications stopped when i started using WatsApp ...
