xperia p notification problem

day b4 yesterday i updated my xperia p to ICS. till now all went good but just 10 min b4 notification ringtone doesn't seem to work, the phone only vibrates while notifying something(new message, or any popup....etc ). please help me out in this. tried changing my notification tone, set the volume to max but nthng worked for me.

Try resetting only settings of the phone. It will work.

m sorry i couldnt fix the notification problem m phne was fine for 4 days but again same pblm started

only soulution till now is Rebooting your device whenever notification stops working. after reboot they sholud start working.

For notification problems.. i found a solution other than rebooting....
whenever the notification sounds goes.... put ur phone on silent mode..... and again on normal mode..... notification sounds will start.....

and more over i am very surprized that sony support still not giving us a solid solution.

I spoke to Sony Customer Care again...I told em this is not the first time m calling fr this issue..nd i have tried all the methods mentined by their Serive Center Excutives.

1. Factory Reset/Setting Reset.

2. SUS

3. Repair Phone.

nd they asked me to go to a service center...when i asked bout if there is any patch or update that is being planned em because many people are facing this same problem they said there are not a lot of people having this problem hence they don't know about any such update being planned to target this problem

i haven't submitted my phone to Service Center...nd m more keen bout waiting for the Jelly Bean update and hope that'll fix the problem.

well, m having the same problem and by the comments so far, i don't think i'll be getting rid of this any time soon....so may be it's better to change the phone or live wid this bug. BTW my phone is only a week old.. it's very very annoying. disgusting!!!!!

hello guys i also faced same problem the simple soution is reboot the phone it's most convinient way the notification souds starts..

i don't know the permenant solution and i'm not sure whether the reinstallation or resetting will do anything to it..
