this is all what i do and i dont even get enough backup for a day, the moment i unlock the screen the battery starts draining every minute, well i just purchased the phone yesterday and i updated soon to ICS, is tht the problem?. i read somewhere Alexdon gets 8-9 hours of screen time, thts like a dream to me. Please tell me a way to increase the battery life.
it's easier to help you if you post the screenshots
charge your phone 100% after your phone drain to 10%
settings > battery > take screenshots of the whole list, also of the graph, also tap on the top 4 items of the list and take screenshots, post it all here

yeah if you just updated just use the battery until 0% and let it charge to 100% like 10times, than you will see the difference, when I updated I was watching battery 1% every 10seconds, 1week after my phone lasts 2days easily, 3 if I dont use 3G or play games
it seems to be normal. remember that certain apps
taskillers, battery, ram apps and antivirus drain a lot of battery
and if you are using wifi or you leave it on, there are apps that are constantly connecting and thus draining a lot of your battery

My brandnew Xperia P only lasting 2-3 hrs!!! (after an update) while listening to the walkman or running any other apps, Android OS 40-63% average, about 6-7 hrs in standby wit all apps disabled! wit very lil use, i was carrying too fones (w995) cos i cudn go anywer without battery dyin out, so i reset the settings then did a factory reset an to my surprise its bin a Mega Improvement! Android OS averages between 8-15% now an ive bin getting 18-23hrs wit average use an the OS hasnt been higher than 15% this is my 2nd wk with the fone now so i hope its sorted now???? P.S Havent used Extended Battery Mode Yet either so it shud be even better eh?:smileywink:
hey Red Dog!i have the exact same problem as yours! my OS usage reaches up to 75% !how did you do that factory reset?can you please explain it widely step by step, ill be really thankful!!
Hey Iiika7, few days ago my fone drained from 100% to 13% in 48 minutes wit the walkman playing an data enabled, but not connected to the net, so i decided to to do a settings reset? but to no avail, so I tried a factory reset and as soon as the factory reset was finished the battery level IMMEDIATELY!!! went from 9% to 53%!! and since then its been lasting ages! You will find the reset options in settings under Personal in Back Up and Reset! this Screen Shot was earlier today its now showing 48% with 11h 38m 19s ...a major improvement ive used lil net ova wifi an a few calls today, so for a smartfone its a lot better than what ive had previously? hope you have similar luck!

Hey I have the same battery draining problem. So want to try out the factory reset thing. If I do it will it undo the OS updation i have done. Wat r the other thing i might loose. Pl help.
ilgreco112 is right. I have experience same issue with i bought xperia and imediately upgraded to ICS. You have to charge and discharge couple of times and 2 days will not be a problem (of course not under heavy usage)
