Hi
I have had my Neo v for a few days and it has a problem with the panoramic photo operation. It stops with the error message "Could not take picture. Please pan in the correct direction". Any ideas on how to fix this anyone?
I have tried it on another computer but it did exactly the same thing; lost connection to the phone after it had completed the download and started to check the phone. I made a second attempt and this time it started to check the phone before it hung up.
I think I shall leave it for now just in case it hangs whilst updating the phone. If I do want a panoramic photo I shall do it the old fashioned way, take a few photos and stich them together on the PC
Thanks for your help.
No problem.
There are 2 other options for you (in case you decided to) :smileywink:. No way tempting you ....
One way is to Factory Data Reset phone, goto Settings>Privacy>Factory data reset.
The other way is to use an alternate tool, SE Update Service. Here's the download link, http://dl-www.sonyericsson.com/cws/download/1/110/61/1317636927/Update_Service_Setup-2.11.10.7.exe.
As mentioned earlier, it could be a bad internet connection (????) Anyway, decision is yours ....
By the way, the above 2 options are useful if you have software issue with phone and not able to use PC Companion.
In the meantime, enjoy your Neo V.
Hi
I tried a factory reset of the phone and then immediately tried the panorama camera and it worked fine with the first shot but I got the same error on the second and third attempt. So I downloaded the update program you suggested but this won't work because when I connect the phone to the PC whilst holding down the back button it makes the computer hang up
It does this with both compters I tried even if the update program isn't running.
BTW, my internet connection is pretty reliable so it isn't likely to be that.
I suppose the only option left is to contact T Mobile and see if they will swap the phone.
I don't think there is anything wrong with phone after Factory Data Reset (your first shot is good). You just have to keep practising taking those photos.
For info, I am having similar issue as you, I just keep trying .... Mentioned earlier, practice makes perfect!
Anyway, your decision to send it in to have it looked at.
i agree with the mod here :d ..it is very difficult to take a pic ..you need a hell lot of practice
ok that was not a slang which was maked as star  i just said H E _ _ .... didnt knew it is not allowed here
Now you know ....
I found it works better in just Sweep Panorama not the 3D panorama but I get the same message too. I don't know if it is the darker indoor conditions I am practising in.
I generally use the Panorama camera app which I picked up elsewhere on the forum,

which I really like and have found very user friendly.
hey suze pls reply in the other thread or atleast update us about it ?
What would you like clarified? I can't see a question asked by you in the other thread. Bear in mind that I am a volunteer moderator on here - I don't actually work for Sony Ericsson.
