I use a TomTom Rider 2 GPS as both GPS and phone 'kit' on my transport - a motorcycle.
I've had no problems with previous Sony phones (most recent was W995), but i could not get the Neo to work, so I contacted TomTom, and this is the text of their response......
" As we speak, it seems that the Sony Xperia Neo has not passed in the compatibility list for the Rider GPS.
This means that the pairing between the GPS and the Rider is not stable or cannot perform at the level that TomTom considers deemed worthy. "
So, taking on board the problems ICS has brought as well, I'm faced with changin either GPS or phone platform, and changing the phone is both more straightforward as well as cheaper.
The specific issue is that the Neo will only function with the GPS for voice, but not SMS function - which for me is important. Without it I get no indication of missed calls, SMS messages, nor can I send any.
Anyone got any thought on this ?
