Xperia mini pro - screen does not register touch

The screen of my xperia mini pro sk17i is not woking any longuer. I have connected it withthe usb cable to either : 1) reinstall the lastses version /( in case that help) 2) transfer my pictures and video to the PC . I have inserted a PIN-free sim card, but the starting screen is the one with the graphic key. As the screen does not register touch i cannot unlock it. Is there any way to submit to the phone the graphical code ?

If the touch screen doesn't respond, you are not able to unlock the phone in any way. You can remove the pattern lock by performing a software repair (reinstall the latest software) but if the touch screen still doesn't work, it sounds more lika a hardware problem than a software problem.

If the problem persist after a software repair, I suggest that you visit nearest service center to have your phone examined by a technician. You can contact your local support team for further information about nearest service center and/or how to proceed in the best possible way:

i connect the Phone with the USB cable, but the PC does not recognise it until it is unlock. So is there any form of performing a software repair does not require unlcok the phone ?....the QWERTY still works ....any tips ?
