Xperia L, strange reboot.

Hello,

After investigation, when I set an animated screen type "cosmic flow", after 20th cycles (screen off/screen on) the mobile phone reboot ! and it has the latest software (build number: 15.0.A.1.31)

I would have trying to reinstall with PC Companion and no change.

PS:There are no problem with a standard wallpaper.

Thanks in advance to resolve my problem and I suppose a problem concerning all Xperia L.

Any persons have it ?

Tried this for about ~40 times here with a Xperia L (15.0.A.1.31) and a blue cosmic flow background. The phone didn't restart. Which color did you use? Seems like a really strange issue. And this happens after 20 cycles every time?

Have you tried running the phone in safe mode and checked if the problem persists there? Start it up while pressing volume down key, you will get a message saying "safe mode" in the bottom left corner. If the problem is not present when having the phone in safe mode, it's related to some app installed on the phone.

What are your thoughts about this forum? Let us know by doing this short survey.

I have tried (~40 times) with blue cosmic flow background and it didn't restart... I tried with a turquoise cosmic flow this week and it crash, I had the wifi activate and stamina mode.

I have tried with turquoise and stamina mode and without, it didn't restart now... I don't get it. so strange...

I'm at work and I would try this evening with wifi.

I will keep you informed.

Ah ! is not every time I think, because it has reboot just now ! the screen "freeze" and i must press a long time on power to restart it.

condition:

stamina mode off

cosmic flow turquoise

wifi off

lock screen activate with slider unlock mode

backlight automatic

I will try now without App.

Couldn't reproduce the error so I think we can isolate this error to your device. Did you try to repair the phone software via PC Companion? If not, give it a try:

Hi,

I identified that i can't reproduce this crash without phone in sleep, I think we can't turn off this mode.

So I tried yesterday with sleep mode and I choise "15 seconds time less". So I turn off my screen and I waited 15 seconds before to turn on. In theory it was in sleep mode...

After some try, the screen freeze.

Is possible too that I'm an isolated case...

Can you tried one more time with this specific cycle ? In addition with last conditions.

My last hope before to repair !

Believe it or not, but I actually managed to reproduce this now, after some tries.

Stamina mode off

Cosmic flow turquoise

WiFi off

Lock screen at normal slider mode

Auto backlight

15s sleep on screen

After about ~20 locking/unlocking of the screen it actually froze.

I'll escalate this issue internally!

Hi Samuel,

I just bought the Sony Xperia L (C2105) about 3 days ago and I must say that ever since it's unboxing its been a complete Disappointment.

Issue 1:  Initially when there were no apps installed, the phone just restarted automatically, around 2 times upon trying to take a picture with the camera and then trying to view that picture soon after. Another instance of a restart/reset was when I download some addition to the Bible App...like a new transcript or a new bible version within the same app

Issue 2: On installing common apps like Whatsapp, and also on using Gtalk or Notes...(Basically any continued input through the keyboard (English), the keyboard would Freeze-dissapear-and reappear to allow resumed input, causing a roughly 10-12 sec pause in a flowing chat conversation...

Issues 3: I just carried my phone in my Pocket and drove over to my friends place to show them the phone, and there, as I Pulled it out of my Pocket...It's completely 'dead' ....(I say dead because it failed to start even on long-pressing the Power Button)

I was able to have it started again, only after pulling out the plastic cover (which is a task even with an unhealthy length of fingernails), taking out and re-placing the same battery back inside.It then started as usual. but that was 3 hours ago.

All these glitches are causing me to write you this Long letter of a Post. Please Help me out to the best of your Knowledge. Because i've run out of Ideas, and i was thinking of giving away the phone to someone poorer than me, (and I'm Not very rich Myself.)

Please dont mind the Humor...the Issues are genuine..
