Xperia j signal problems

Hi... I was gifted with a xperia j from France. It was bought on the last week of November . Right now my mobile is not properly supporting with Indian network providers. The problem is I get network signals very rarely. Pls give me solution to rectify it ASAP ....

Well, not sure what network bands your carrier/provider are using but the Xperia J supports the following bands:

Networks

• GSM GPRS/EDGE 850, 900, 1800, 1900
• UMTS HSPA 850 (Band V), 1900 (Band II), 2100 (Band I) Americas
• UMTS HSPA 900 (Band VIII), 2100 (Band I) Global except Americas

If you don't have any coverage you could try changin the SIM-card as a first step.

Tried changing the sim... Didn't work.. Can Updates help solving this problem?

Well, you could try updating, but I suspect there might be something related to the network bands your operator are using. How old is the SIM-card you are using and the one you tried in for testing?
