XPeria J no signal

Recently I accdidently dropped my phone (XPeria J), I had the screen and digitizer replaced. The screen works great now but there is no signal at all. I have tried to connect to the computer after Sony advised me to, but it still doesn't work.

No video signal or 2g/3g phone signal?

Anyway if phone signal is missed try:

- Another sim card

- Check if other antennas (GPS, Wifi) work correctly

- Try to force 2g or 3g

- Try to load phone in safe mode

Tried all of your suggestions but none of them work unfortunately. What else could it be? Where is the antenna in the phone?

I don't know where is located Xperia J antenna

But the SIM is correctly recognised?

The sim card is recognised, no other problems with the phone except for the no signal.

Did you replace screen by yourself or in a Sony service center?

Issue could be caused by

- Broken motherboard

- Broken antenna

- Antenna not correctly plugged

In phone mode digit this code *#*#4636#*#* to open diagnostic menu

Select the first choice, phone information
Check if GSM service is enabled and what type of net is selected

Check at the bottom of the screen if the button is "enable phone signal" or "disable phone signal". Try to switch using this button

Text could be different, i have done a translation to english

You can try to repair firmware with PC companion but in  my opinion this is a hardware issue

hi there i recently replaced my own screen and i couldnt get any signal because i never put back on the little black bits of plastic on the two top corners and the bottom under the back cover but once i secured them i got my signal back hope this is of some help for you of course this is only if u replaced it yourself
