My phone is just over four weeks old - I've taken excellent care of it, not a scratch on it!
Last week my phone was charged to about 80%.
When I woke up in the morning the phone was completely unresponsive. I couldn't switch it on at all. (Usually takes about four-five days to discharge my phone from a full charge, I hardly use it).
I plugged it into the mains using the charger and cable which came with my phone but nothing happened.
I have tried plugging it into my laptop and again nothing happens - my laptop does not acknowledge that anything has been plugged in and the screen doesn't display anything.
One thing which happens when I plug it into my laptop is that the LED on the front of phone blinks red slowly. It does not do this on the mains.
I have taken the battery out for a few hours and then tried but nothing has happened.
I have no idea what to do.
Anyone any ideas? Very frustrated....
Hi Neil,
Sorry to hear you're also suffering the same problem as myself.
I don't think that Sony are montiroing this thread (Possibly because the first answer posted by them has marked this thread as 'assumed answered')
Either that or they are monitoring and are refusing to acknowledge that there is a serious problem here.
Sony - Can you please advise your customers what they should be doing?
Neil - who did you send your phone to? How old is your phone? Is it also an Xperia J? I'm very frustrated..... £185 for a paperweight....not good while I'm away with work at sea as there is nowhere I can take my brand new phone for repairs or purchase a replacement.
Best regards,
Brian
Hi Brian
I agree with you that Sony are not montoring this thread or any thread on this subject.

Above is a link to my own post I'am still awaiting a reply, So and Brain I agree Sony are refusing to acknowledge that they are any issues with a £185 piece of kit.
I Believe I purchased my Sony Xperia J In late September on 24 month contract so about 8 or 9 months old and about 15 month left to keep paying my contract on a phone that does not work,
luckily my contract is with T mobile (EE as they are now)
So Brian when my phone stopped working (charging) I rang T mobile who told me take it in to a local T mobile shop for repair (and a replacement phone not a very good phone but a phone)
As i say luckily my contract is with T mobile and they have been great really, As i sit here and write this I'am waiting for a new replacement phone, again another Xperia J lets hope I have no issues with this one. As I have state Sony I have a Xperia J also my wife has the same phone, I have also advised my Mother to purchase a Sony phone she now has the S, and I'am now looking at getting a Xperia E for my daughter but may change my mind If sony can not respond to any of these threads.
I really hope you get sorted Brain
Regards
Neil
