Xperia Go

I have a problem with an Xperia Go.

When I turn it off, it immediately turns itself back on again. If I do a hard re-set (with the on/off button and volume up key) it turns off and then won't turn on again until I plug the USB cable into my PC. It then reverts back to it's original behaviour.

I have tried a factory reset but no difference. Any ideas?

The problem is of course, that if left, the battery goes flat. It belongs to my daughter who now has a new phone but this one is in perfect condition and would do someone else a good service, but I can't pass it on as it is.

Hi and welcome to the community! Since you're new please be sure that you have checked out our Discussion guidelines.

I suggest that you first of all try to reinstall the phone software using PC Companion: 

http://www.sonymobile.com/update

In PC Companion, press start on Support Zone > Start on Update the phone/tablet software > Press the blue link that says "Repair phone/tablet".

Thanks for suggestion, and have done that several times. Now if I do a hard turn off it won't turn on again unless I plug the USB cable in from the PC. then its back to doing the same thing again.
