Hello.
I'm just two days old on Xperia world.
My biggest problem is that I don't have any file manager on my phone and even if I manage to download one, I don't know how to install it!
I've tested some apk files on my SD card, copied them in "others folder" and also directly in the SD card. But could see none of them when I went to settings/applications/manage applications.
So how on earth can I install a software or application on my phone? I even can't access a file manager to find them!
Another question for me is about jar files. I've been told Xperia Ray supports java files... so is it true? Because for some strange reasons I can bluetooth any file to my phone except jar files!
Please help me out.
there is an app called application installer, use it to install apps on your handset. and you can install filemanager directly
just open play store and download a file manager (I recommend OI File Manager as it works fine).
it will be installed automatically
nika,
I have been using Astro File Manager from the Google Play Store. Fills the need for me.

First of all , welcome to the xperia world .
if you are sure there is no app called Application Installer on your device, the only way you can do now, is to go to Google Play Store as suggested by braydencooper067 and ply17410, you can search for file managers and click on install, dont worry as you dont need an application installer, google play will install it for you.
Thanks a lot to all of you.
Your quick and complete answers worked great for me. I've downloaded OI File Manager and now I can access each and every application or file on my SD card.
I'm grateful for your help guys.
