I bought brand new Xperia C last week and I am facing a serious problem with my phone.
I plug the phone to charge and it charges my phone from 38% to 70% in around 2 hours (which might be correct for a 2400mah battery) but after then suddenly it charges my phone from approx 702% - 100% within 5minutes which is weired.
I charged my phone twice (started charging phone again from 30%) and faced the same issue.
I am pretty satisfied with the performance of the device but I am afraid of this weired problem.
What should I do?
Like I said before, it took around 2 hours to charge battery from 30% to around 70% but then suddenly within 5-10minutes of charging, battery level shows to 100%.
Doing a force shutdown will do what? I mean it will just power off the device or something else?
Also, is this a common issue for several devices or it is a problem with mine?
Also, Is this a serious problem? If so, what would be its effects??
Thanks
Ok, I'll try your suggestion and will come back to you.
Thanks
There is a bug with the Xperia C battery calibration. The software fails to read the exact level of the battery. The charging issue of 70%-100% is evident during the first couple of charges. But it fades away with time. Also, there is a same sudden drop from 33%-7% while discharging as well. The latest system update failed to address this issue.
Though this can be quite annoying, however the performance of the battery is extremely good. The only problem is its faulty gauge.
I tried the solution suggested in above post (pushing the reset button in back side and then charge the phone) but I didn't succeed.
Now when I charge my phone, it charge upto 80-82% and then suddenly shows 100%. I also heard the battery drop issue from 33%-7% from some other guys and after updating to latest update they confirm that this battery drop issue has gone.
I also love the performance of this device along with the battery backup. I wish this problem could be solve in future updates so that we can fully charge this power tank correctly and use it.
