Xperia Arc Update Failure

Hi, I have recently visited the Sony website and found that it states the latest software is 4.1 yet when I downloaded the Sony PC Companion to update my Xperia Arc to from 2.3.4 it says my phone is up to date! Can anyone advise on this?

Yes, it is locked to O2.

O2 is NOT going to update your phone at all
