Xperia Arc S battery problems

Hi!

I my Arc S seems to drain battery easily. I already reduced the brightness, vibration, the works. I even downloaded power saver apps but nothing seems to work. I also upgraded it to the latest Android version. It is now Android 4.04 with build number 4.1.B.0.587. Sometimes, it overheats itself. I even did the repair option online but still nothing.

After the upgrade, I also noticed that there are two photo albums. I have the Xperia Gallery and Gallery. Is this normal?

Ics is quite demanding in terms of power usage.. I, for one, couldn't make it through day 3... About the last question of yours, yes, it is normal, there are two galleries.... Their interface is a little different but both do the same thing as I am sure you know Slightly_smiling_Face

Disable any task killers, antivirus and the power saving apps... ICS has its way of working, you should not interefere with some apps.. Yes, I myself have reduced brightness when indoors, wi-fi is ON only when I need it...

Hope this helps!

Thank you ArcSBlack, for your suggestions.

I forgot to mention that sometimes, I have to charge my phone 3 times maximum per day.  I will try to observe my phone without any task killers and power saving apps. Slightly_smiling_Face

I am facing the same issue as you now. On top of that, my keyboard does not seems to be working and can only start typing after 3-5 minutes. It seems like a software issue more than a hardware issue.

On the issue of galleries, I have two as well. Always have had since I got the phone. Both Experia Gallery and plain Gallery seem to do the same things. I tend to use plain "Gallery" most of the time as it seems to start and pull up my pictures quicker. Don't see any way of getting rid of one or the other so I just ignore one.... The only issue I am getting with my phone is that apps downloaded seem always to install on the internal storage, and a couple of them won't update as internal storage is too full.  Moving apps to SD Card does not always help and some apps cannot be moved (or even deleted) as they come with the system.(ie: Facebook and Youtube for example). I have had some issues with battery usage especially on the move. My best cure was to disable data usage until I really need it..:smileyplain:
