I have the new firmware 4.0.1.A.0.238 LT15i updated via PCC today.

Seems snappier (wishful thinking).
3D panorama (Did not work yet for me).
3D gallery app.
Screenshots in power menu.
New time widget.
Facebook share integration stuff.
Swype keyboard.

Install it and you will see  5 folders

                                   Custom

                                   Drivers

                                   Firmwares

                                   Loaders

                                   X10Flasher_lib

take the firmware to the  "Firmwares" folder

click on Falsh

Press Ok

it will ask you to connect your phone on Flashmode (turn off your phone, press the back button, then connect the USB) press OK

the market will update itself really soon after you start downloading apps, and yeah the only app that is from the network/operator and can be deleted

the keyboard with bold letters looks bad, I miss the old keyboard, I don't think the networks change the keyboard, if they do that'll be great if we get the old one, although this new keyboard its a bit more responsive.

the sweep panorama its cool but too bad that you have to move it so slow, I rather have a BURST mode and then stitch the pictures

the CRT animation was great, I don't know why SE replaced it with this odd animation

I wish we could create our own themes, and that the launcher could rotate to landscape, but more important  the CAMERA, besides 3D panorama and sweep panorama I don't see any more improvements
