Yesterday I go to the swimming pool to learn how to swim. In the middle of the practice, I want to capture several pics under water (because I see in the video that some people can use it under water). Following the direction on the manual (the back cover must be closed, no orange rubber can seen and push the cover near the speaker; USB and headset port totally closed), so I go to the lowest part from the pool (about 1 meter, the manual said that it can resist water under 1 meter deep in 30 minutes). After taking several picture (about 3-4 pics, because its hard), suddenly there is a water bubble pop out from the front speaker!!! Suddenly I get shocked and bring my phone to the towel to dry it. After make sure that the outer part was dry, I open the cover, dry it with paper, and open the back cover. Everything was fine, because there is no sign of water (and I also checked the white spot near the SD card, and its still white). After that, I try use my phone and realize that the screen not working!!! Its still on, but cannot respond to touch (but power button still working). And later (about few hours later), I realize that there is a black line across my screen!!!
My question is:
Did my warranty void because of that? But I dont bring my phone while swimming!! Its also not stay 1 meter under water and less than 30 minutes (maybe less than 10 minutes)!!! I also already sure that my back and USB+earphone cover thightly closed.
I still have a few months left guarantee. Thanks for answer my question...
This is impossible for me to judge it needs to be examined at an repair center to determine this. I suggest that you contact your local support team for more information.
