X10 or X10 mini pro

Hello, I am thinking of buying a Xperia X10 or X10 mini pro and user the operator 3 in sweden. Does anyone know if they do some own branding so you can't update it? The thing I really want to do is share my phone's internet with either a usb or wifi to my laptop. Is there any easy way to do that, is there any programs in the phone to do that? Is it this that is called tethering?

And I forgot, anyone know which versions of os there is in it? 1.6?

Android 1.6, Don't get it, go for any device with Android 2.2 for the much simple wifi sharing/tether

it will be 2.1 from the end of September.

X10 is much bigger and requires either a big hand, or both hands, to operate. The X10 mini is just on the opposite end, too small for my hands, but just nice for my wife's.

However, if you buy the devices now, you will have to suffer some "missing" features, especially in the X10 model.

Or you can wait for the X8 which is a medium version and should be out next month.

If it is launched early, probably 1.6, but if launched later in the month, 2.1
