Hi,
I recently bought an x10mini and am encountering issues with it. For a very brief moment (a few hours) everything was sweet- I put my existing sim card in, everything powered up, I could do everything I wanted to with the phone, life had meaning:)
Then, the phone froze up thru a call- I couldn't answer the call, everything went black, I couldn't shut the phone down, and given it has an internal battery, I couldn't easily reset the phone. Once I found out how to (some button combination switch) everything came back online except.. now I can't access my phone provider network.
The phone recognises the sim card, imports contacts, and can determine what network the sim card is supposed to link to- but it doesn't connect and I am forever having the cascading bars/signal icon with the red x over it, and the words "no service" in the status window.
I've tried other sim cards with the same result- these sim cards work on other phones.
Anyone know what I can do?
Thanks
Almost the same thing happened to my X10, have sent it in for repair and according to the status I'm getting an exchange. So contact SE and arrange to have it sent in.
If you haven't alredy, try updating the phone.
Try a repair using SE PC Companion or update with Sony Ericsson Update Service.
