by the way.. I tried replacing the battry to one which which almost fully charged. The phone behaved similar. I.e it still drains the battery and gets hot.

In other words, this is not a battery issue.

Got my back to normal again. Obviously some of the applications from android market is the source of the problem.

Probably some that got updated last weekend.

I reseted my phone, restored all but the android market applications and no signs of the problems.

I recall seeing an update of Facebook being stuck last weekend so I suspect something with the facebook app.

Anyone with an existing problem who are able to uninstall facebook and see if it solves the problem?

If not, continue uninstalling application by application untill the problem is solved.

it's not start at all..already dead!! how can i reset the phone without start? even not detected when i attached to laptop. so i cannot continue update proccess. how ever it's heating.

If you have the same problem as i did, you will need to borrow a fully charged battery, or have it charged without using the builtin charger.

Perhaps a friendly store will be able to help you out. you only need to borrow the battery for a few minutes while deinstalling applications.

finally, i called to technician. He said its bcoz of mother board short. is it true? but its only 4 months old. suddenly its gone off. cannot restart. i plugged charger, phone is getting heat. may be its becoz m.b issue?

i Figured out why it happens!!!!

The GSM modem hates low signal quality... "lower than 3 bars/+-80dB"  it cuases the GSM radio to draw alot of juice and damage the innards of the x10..

Switch to 2G in bad signal area's... switch to airplane mode when no signal is present.

Disable APN when internet is not in use..

This i all based on fact... i wish there was a fix.

If it's already damaged.. return to SE.

dear omegaDEATH,

i agree with your techinfo. it was with low GSM signal @ my location. finally its dead now. is there any way to repair or must return to SE? bcoz i can't find an approved SE repair center.

I did not have access to SE's service centre but my provider was kind enough to send it to them.

And SE was kind enough to send me a full readout of the GSM radio data making sure my x10 was fully upto spec.

I recently filled a petition to my sevice provider they fixed the tower and now i have no issue's at home using my phone.

It's very important for phone developers to remember to build the radio as dB sensitive and energy efficient as possible.

As it is one of the main consumers of energy.

Most shops have ways to get your phone to SE.

Glad to help..

Now go get your x10 working. Slightly_smiling_Face

I have had to resort to removing the battery and putting it in the freezer or the fridge to cool down.  When I insert back in phone, often it has drained the battery and I have to start charging all over.  How does one go about registering a 'bug report' with SonyEricsson.  This forum appears to be for recreational complaining
