Wrong battery stats after replacing battery?

I just replaced my battery, but now I'm wondering if the phone didn't realize to calibrate the new battery, so that it's still showing the battery life from the old battery. I inserted a photo below, so you can see what I mean. The gap in the graph is because of me changing the battery. At least from there it seems that it actually carried the same battery stats over to the new battery. If that were the case, would it be automatically fixed when I charge it, or should I try to calibrate the new battery somehow?

Yea, it didn't change the situation at all.

Ofc I could put the old battery back (that had the battery drain issue) and charge it till about 80% and then change the new one back, and it should be pretty much accurate. Or just keep using this one and see what happens.

Could it actually overcharge the battery so that it charges the battery till it's like 140% in reality, damaging the battery (because the battery stats were lower than in reality to begin with)?

To get the approximate callibration once in month its wise to totally empty your battery, use it till the last 1% OR 0 zero.
Recharge and get back it to use. Over charge is not really required as per the latest technology used within new 2.0 & 3.0 quick chargers and late 2015-2016 Li-Po battery made.

To get the maximum output from your battery and charge life, either recharge only when required when battery level is below 40 or 35% (recommended to increase recharge cycles) or recharge only when battery totally drains to get the best callibration and good battery life.

Always get the best use of features like stamina mode, sleep mode, restrict or que background data to prolong daily use battery life.
