Writing Languages

Hi,

As a first time Android user, I am having 2 problems in the Language setting. First, I am trying to change the writing languages under Xperia Keyboard, there are many other different writing languages including Vietnamese, Japanese...etc but there's no Chinese keyboard option. Except if that I change my entire phone language into Chinese interfaces then i will be able to type chinese. This will make it very inconvenient that I have to change back to Chinese interfaces everytime i need to type chinese. 

Another thing is that after I change my phone to Chinese interfaces, it makes that i could only "write English". Which I do not know how to change to "Type English" instead of writing alphabetical letters on glass screen.

Can someone help me out? I would really appreciated for making my life easier 🙂

Settings > Language & input > Xperia Chinese keyboard > select your settings 

then 

open the messaging app > tap on the input box > drag down the notification bar > Choose input method > Xperia chinese keyboard 

you will have to do this whenever you have to switch from English to Chinese

You can try installing Swype....switching from english to chinese is much easier than using the default keyboard app. 

It costs money though.

I was just about to post about this and now I have the answer. It would have made things very difficult living in China and not being able to message in Chinese. Now to get a dictionary installed and I'll be set1
