Hi Sony,
I know its been more than a year old for Sony Xperia Sola, android kit kat 4.4 are rumoured to support low ram devices as ours that is 512mb RAM.My question is,will sony update our devices?
Thanks.
Doubt it, think about it
Kit Kat its not out yet nor the Nexus 5
once the Nexus 5 with KitKat its released it will be few weeks before google release the source code
by then perhaps Sony will be about to release the 2014 flagship in January and then work on older Xperias to see which will be supported and get kit kat update
The Xperia Sola its almost 18months old, which means that its at the end of it's life cycle.
That's my opinion
nexus 5 is out with android kitkat, this version of android can run on devices having 512 mb ram .
request to sony please update sola to kitkat please please.
i hope it will be!
Its not going to happen, you know that the Xperia Sola's last major update was 4.0, not 4.1 nor 4.2 nor 4.3.
it doesn't require to update in sequentia manner it can directly jum into 4.4 it's not a issue, the 4.4 is main designed to run on low end devices which have 512mb ram.if i am not wrong this was possible because it was built on new kernel version3.4 or 3.8 i am not sure which has better memory management.
"ATLAST I HOPE THAT SONY SHOULD THINK ABOUT THIS"
I am aware that it doesn't have to follow the sequence, but lets be realistic, you know that its not going to happen. It'll be great that not just Sony but all companies release the latest update to their phones but that's unlikely.
yes you are right these manufacturers want to sell there hardware(phones) after that they will not bother about the software updates unless it s a flagship phone.
it's been nice conversating with you.
Anytime, you should check the XDA Forum, and look into a custom ROM
