wifi problem

hi. i have a problem with wifi. near the modem it works but when i go to my room that have some distance from modem, the phone still connected but do not work and i can not open any web pages. but other devices like my xperia s works fine in my room. please help me

Hi arashmid,

I had the original Xperia Z and it had the same problem as well. When the signals would be around 1 bar the wi-fi would show 'connected' status but not work. I think it's a matter of the wi-fi reciever in the phone. The signals are weak there and it just shows it to be connected but does not get enough signals to surf the internet. Other devices might just have a better wi-f- reciever but i am not sure though, just my own thought.

Only the Z2 has this problems?Did you try to forget the network and add it again?

that didn't works too. my xperia s works fine. just z2 has this problem, now i have a new problem! the phone doesn't even connect! it says "saved,scured with wpa" or "authentication problem"

What security protocol does the connection have?Change it to WPA2.

You should have your Z2 checked at a sony service.
