WiFi problem

Hi,

I'm having problem connecting to wifi at home, the phone accepted the wifi password (and remembered), but would not connect.  I tried to reboot the phone and my router but still can't connect.  However, I can connect to open wifi.  Can anyone help?

Have you tried typing the password using all capital letters?

Same problem withy my x8...Sonyericsson please do something..FIX IT!!!

I tried FORGET network & reconnect it with "CAPITAL LETTER PASSWORD" IT Scanning....and after few seconds "Disconnected"?

I very tired for this X8 now.:smileyangry:

Then i tried with other Cafe with open WIFI, IT's connected perfectly...

WHY Sony X8 ONLY accept "OPEN WIFI???

Anyone from SonyEricsson to answeer this? MAYBE Upgrade it to Android 2.2?

I fixed my problem in my home router security set up, not the phone!  Hopefully this will work for you too!

What Modem/router you use? i can connect Nokia e72 even old Nokia n8 flawlessly...i dont think is any issue or problem with my modem/router..

All SSID & Password are same setting, Obviously is phone that unable to connect it especially once disconnected 1st time....

I can connected from 1st time of WIFI with WPA security setting, Next day when is was diconnected, i try connect again, x8 fail to re-connect so  i re-start my modem..its connected with searching new IP & Connected again..

The problem rised when Sony x8 disconnected third time...till now NEVER connect again..always scanning & Diconnected even i re-start modem????/
