WiFi not working nor showing icon problem: Xperia Ray update android 4 ICS

Wifi not working after update to ICS ver.4.1.A.o.562 ??

Whats the problem ???

The icon stays on but not able to search any wifi nor icon on the top bar is shown ??

screenshot option is also not there in the power button !

If you've tried all that's listed in the link Veresova posted above (http://talk.sonymobile.com/thread/31449) and it still doesn't work we need to know what router(s) you are connecting to.

Manufacturer and model name is needed.

I use at least 6 different routers as i'm a telecomunication engineer.

All my routers worked perfectly before ICS, now no one works anymore.

I have to use the frustrating procedure i wrote in my last message.

I will give you i.e. the data of my home wifi gateway:

D-link DAP1160 with last firmware 1.40 (B2)

Wifi on channell 11 (the best one calculated with a wifi analizer)

DHCP server on the gateway, WPA/WPA2 encription with TKIP/AES cipher mode

I tried all different options of WMM,Preamble type, mode b/g and transfer rate without success.

that's what i noticed too. it works with open networks. It doesnt works with wpa, wpa2.

The only workaround to reach the network you want is to connect to an open network first, then you can connect to the right WPA/WPA2 one with success.

I am also facing the same problems, it doesn't work on the WIFI using WPA/WPA2. How do we solve it?:smileyangry:

Yes! I am think about is this the problem on the mac address on the phone!

I have the same problem with my ray. In 4.0.2.a.0.42 but when it upgraded to 4.0.2.a.0.62 the problem fixed. but after I upgrage it to ICS the problem is back again

I will have to involve some experts on this. I'm out of ideas. I will get back to you when I know more.

With all due respect, no one at Sony Mobile should be taking the WEEKEND OFF with all the Wifi issues that have been reported.

So I downgrade back to 2.3.4, I have thinking to buy a new WIFI router before, but I always want to go to travel, I think I will also facing the same problems in some other site!

I found that if the Wifi router is a very old type, about 3years before cannot be connected.

For the new router, most of them could be connected.

Maybe this is the MAC address connetion problem for the ICS.
