Hi.
Since 4.3 upgrade, sometimes there is no ringtone for incoming calls/sms.
Because of that, I've already missed very important calls/sms because I've seen them many hours later.
When the problem occurs, I can't even hear the ringtone when I go in the config menu and try to change the ringtone !
I'm pretty sure it's not hardware problem because the situation comes back to normal when I simply make a call !!!
It's very annoying : receiving calls or sms are basic/essential functionnalities for a phone !!!
Some has the same problem ?
Someone has a solution ?
Thanks.
Like most issues after a software upgrade - Running a repair often solves the issues - So backup all important data - Turn off your phone and unplug it from your Pc or Laptop - Run PC Companion and click on Support zone then click on Update phone/tablet then in Blue click Repair my phone/tablet - When prompted making sure your phone is still switched off hold volume down and connect your USB cable - The repair process should begin
With PCC you won't lose data, but if you read other forum posts, this phone has some problems after using PCC as update method (mostly is the problem with differences in this latest firmware), and at the end it forces you to do SUS reinstall.
So, it is probably the best method to BACKUP everything that is important to you (Contacts, SMS, calls, pictures etc.), and then you can proceed with firmware installation, with PCC or SUS.
Be aware that PCC also has some troubles with restoring contacts from backup, so it is wise to do a backup with some other tool/app too, so you can be sure of not losing stuff from your phone.
Hope, this is helpful to you.
Greetings.
i bhave the two softwares, i dont know if it is the same procedure for PCC and SUS?
SUS does not need the phone to be on and unlocked first to check the version of the software.PCC needs phone on and unlocked. So I suggest you try via SUS:

am using the PCC...but it takes a long time while preparing.....more than an hour now...my laptop battery is 20% now
first its depand on your internet speed...then i think SUS will do this faster
atleast in my experience was that way
