WiFi not connecting in office

Hi All,

I just brought xperia L. No problem with my home wifi and even no issue with my friends home wifi. ( Unifi , TM and Time). But if i try to connect with my office Wifi not able to connect. The security is same as my home ( WPA/WPA2 PSK ). It is showinging "Saved". but i try to connect nothing happening and some times first time on that day it is showing something ( less than a second. I think that is "connecting.." ) and nothing happaning. My FW already latest ( 15.3.A.1.17).

but my friends mobile all working / connecting perfectly with out any issue. ( samsung, Lenovo and china phone also). I tried all advance option in Wifi .. no use.

Anybody have any idea ? Any setting is there to make work ?

You should check the one you're trying to connect to but also try connecting to the access point on another floor if you havent done that.

But have you checked the manufacturer, model or firmware version of the access point you're trying to connect to? It's not specified in the escalation you made with your local support. I would recommend that you first check that and then if there's any firmware update available for it. You can also check if it's WiFi Certified here: http://www.wi-fi.org/certified-products-search

Hi Rickard ,

You told my issue was escalated to development team right ? Can you check my ticket status ? Because there is no mail / message about the investigation. Is there any possibility to get debug firmware / debug FW to log network activity ? or what is the process Sony follows internally ?

Because this issue reported 1 month before still i did not see any responsible activity from Sony. I know consumers can contact legally Sony about this, but I think it will bad for both side.  right?

Yes, this was escalated internally by your local support and the answer from our development is the one you quoted earlier in this thread that it's most likely a compatibility issue. WiFi in Xperia L is working according to specifications and Xperia L is WiFi Certified.
It's not possible to install a debug firmware in your phone. You need a special unit for that.

I'm afraid i don't have any other advice than to make sure that the access point is updated with the latest firmware and that it's WiFi Certified. If you suspect that there's something wrong with your phone i recommend that you contact a service location to have it checked.
