Since the Android upgrade my Z2 tablet drops its wifi connection almost every time I browse to a web page. It stays down for about 30 secs then connects again. Also, in the last couple of days I constantly get the message "Unfortunately email has stopped working". This is as often as once every 10 seconds. Obviously, this makes the device unusable. This has only started happening since the upgrade. All other wifi devices on the same access point are fine. Signal strength is high. The behaviour is just the same in safe mode and I have uninstalled everything that I can, leaving only all the junk that I am not allowed to uninstall by Sony/Google.
Can anyone tell me how to fix this or how to downgrade Android? I will have to take the device back to the retailer otherwise.
Thanks.
No, I've not tried other routers. Even if the device works with another router, I would not change the one I have. It works very well with all the other devices I have (laptops, media streamers, android phone, TV etc.) and it worked fine with the tablet before the upgrade.
Can anyone tell me how to downgrade to Android 4?
You can find the answer here:

Thanks Quester, I will give the downgrade a go.
So Sony don't "support" downgrading? What a POS. Last sony product I will buy.
