Since the Android upgrade my Z2 tablet drops its wifi connection almost every time I browse to a web page. It stays down for about 30 secs then connects again. Also, in the last couple of days I constantly get the message "Unfortunately email has stopped working". This is as often as once every 10 seconds. Obviously, this makes the device unusable. This has only started happening since the upgrade. All other wifi devices on the same access point are fine. Signal strength is high. The behaviour is just the same in safe mode and I have uninstalled everything that I can, leaving only all the junk that I am not allowed to uninstall by Sony/Google.
Can anyone tell me how to fix this or how to downgrade Android? I will have to take the device back to the retailer otherwise.
Thanks.
No apps installed whatsover. I've uninstalled everything that I can, being left only with the Google/Sony junk. Plus I've never knowingly installed any anti-virus, battery apps or task killers.
This is what I would do
repair the tablet with PCC then boot on safe mode and test it again

I'm already in safe mode. What does PCC do? How can I use it to fix the tablet?
Thanks.

I have carried outthe repair procedure using PCC and connected WiFi. I opened Google Chrome and as soon I browse to google search page I get "page not avalible off line" and the wifi icon on the top most status bar has disappeared. In other words, exactly the same as before the repair.
This looks like either a hardware fault or an incompatibility between my acccess point and Android 5. I have a Samsung smart phone running android 4 with no problems.and the tablet was fine when on android 4. How do I get android 4 back?
Thanks
