wifi doesn't work after update to android 4.3

hello,
after updating xperia v to android 4.3 the wifi doesn't work..
wifi connected and in range , but doesn't work. what should i do please

the wifi password needs to be re-entered after wifi has been switched off and on again ... really annoying ...

Please have a look at the parallel thread with exactly the same name. There are more detailed descriptions available.

Even scanning does not work. Only for a short time after booting all the many WiFis here in the house are listed. Even then I cannot connect to my WiFi. The other WiFis vanish after some time.

Re-entering the password worked with the XPERIA V of my wife but not with mine!

Repair with PC Companion did the trick for me.

But, it took me more than 10 hours to backup and restore. I used 3 different tools and needed all of them to get 90 % of my data and apps back: Carbon (Helium), MyPhoneExplorer and PC Companion!

PC Companion failed to backup videos and photos and failed to restore settings! And, it failed to backup the contacts correctly. W/o my MyPhoneExplorer backup most of my contacts were lost, as it is not able to backup any contacts but with a local account!
