Wifi direct WIDI screen mirroring not working

Hi has anyone used Wifi direct WIDI Screen mirroring on M4 aqua mine will not find my smart TV is there an app needed or any advice please

Our phones that supports screen mirroring uses Miracast and therefore, your TV must be Miracast certified:

I have a TV is miracast Intel widi certified but will not connect to the tv

Which TV model do you have and have you also tried to update the firmware in it?

I have an LG 42ln575v-ze and is all up to date the tv will find the phone but nothing will show on the phone to accept connection

If I understand you correctly, you're going via the TV settings to connect via Miracast? Could you try to connect from the phone instead? This can be done via Settings > Xperia Connectivity > Screen mirroring > Tap Start and your TV should appear.
