Hi,
I'm having a strange issue when my Z1 is connected to any wifi connection. (only wifi and not data and any wifi, not just my home wifi etc).
I've searched up and down and can't seem to find any resolve for it or why it is happening, but basically the problem is.. and this only happens some times, for example on Chrome or any browser on my Z1 if i goto a website that generally redirects you to a mobile site for example hotukdeals.com instead of getting redirected to the "m." mobile site i get redirected to http://hotukdeals.comwww.hotukdeals.com and as that is in invalid domain it doesn't work.. as soon as i switch wifi off it works fine (this is any wifi also, not just my home wifi).
I have also had issues with other apps e.g. eBay, google play etc that they sometimes display a "no connection" over wifi and i need to referesh a few times until it works. Again over data (3g / 4g) it works fine everytime.
I have tried last night to completly restore my phone... the first time i restored i got an issue with chrome saying "isssue with a proxy server", (i did restore all the data back from a backup though.. so maybe some rouge bad setting was in place that got restored) i couldn't figure it out and restored again.. and this seems to have fixed the wifi issue in the mobile browsers as i haven't ran into issues testing the issues i was running into in the past.. but on a completly blank install the Google Play store now and only on wifi displays a "No Connection, retry" message constantly and i can only get it working if i switchoff wifi.
Does anyone have any idea what this issue could be ?
The only things i have done outside of a blank install is to sync my contacts / messages back from a backup and add my google account etc. The only thing i can think of doing is to do another restore and try and not sync and data to it before i try and see if anything works to further diagnose the issue.
Also on the google play issue i have tried the normal steps of clearing the cache of the google play store, checking date and time settings, etc etc.
