One More Querry: I need to dissable Automatic Updates ( Google MAPS) on my phone.. Have dissabled Auto Synch and Background Data under Accounts and Sync under Settings .. however Maps still does automatic upgradation which is draining my battery and memmory.

Also suggest the link for downloading " Advanced Automatic Application Killer" for automatically killing unused applications to free up memory space..

Is thare any link for preventing virus attacks on Android System?

Xperia arc supports the following Wi-Fi securities.

WEP 64 bit
WEP 128 bit
TKIP
CCMP (AES)
Open Authentication
Shared Authentication
EAP-TLS
EAP-TTLS/MSCHAPv2
PEAPv0/EAP-MSCHAPv2
PEAPv1/EAP-GTC
WPA Personal and WPA2 Personal
WPA Enterprise and WPA2 Enterprise

You can disable auto updates for Google Maps by going to Market > Menu key > My apps > Google maps > Uncheck the auto update box.

There's several application and task killers available on Market but i do unfortunately have none to recommend, because I don't use any task or application killer myself.

I don't know if it's something that will be added in any future software's, but I'll pass on the feedback to concerned team.

Hi,

EAP-SIM wifi authentication protocol has been adopted by a new mobile operator in France (free mobile, fast growing given very aggressive prices and technical advances vs. competition), to allow customers using their widely deployed wifi hot spots (4.8M installed) instead of being obliged deploying expensive femto cells.

iPhone4 & 4S and Blackbarry already support EAP-SIM, and free mobile has reached an agreement with Samsung for supporting the protocol on their Android phones (already available for sale through the operator).

It would be worth taking the opportunity of the planned upgrade to ICS, for including EAP-SIM authentication also in Xperia product line (I've an ARC S).

Thanks

Yes! We need eap-sim now in France!

My old Nokia N86 has it but not my new Xperia Mini St15i!? Slightly_frowning_Face

Please Sony, can you include it on Android 4 upgrade?:smileywink:
