Where has the infinite / infinity focus mode gone?

Software update yesterday and now the infinity / infinite focus modes have disappeared from photo and video. This is rubbish - I used this mode all the time - or am I missing something obvious.

The infinite focus mode is unfortunately not longer available in the latest software. I will forward your feedback about the infinite focus mode.

This just doesn't make sense to me! Why REMOVE features from future software releases? Features that were probably advertised as part of the phone. For example, I am disappointed to see the 3D Panorama mode has also gone.

I hope we see these return...preferable in Android 4.2 (or 4.3...)

Yes Sony please bring back the INFINITE focus option.It is very useful when taking videos shifting from far to near objects..without INFINITE focus our videos gets spoiled because it tends to Autofocus longer...Can't capture memorable moments very well now...unlike before Jb update...
Another problem in autofocus mode is we can hear a distinctive CLICKING sound when it refocus during recording videos...please fix it..I have an Xperia Acro S...and one diehard fan of your products...plz don't let us down...please

Sony, you have turned an awesome phone into garbage. I have a Xperia s with a awesome camera And i cant use it because this auto focus mode doesnt work too well. Bring back INFINITY MODE!

Me too. Im forced to change phone to have a better camera.
