sony given us a laggy update. and it's 540mb+ .sony plz make OS faster and smoother.don't make it heavy.now my xp work like a lower brand android phone.I can't ply nfs smoother and many more games. but it was good on ics.message and dialer is funny.no flash player.usb tethering some time don't work!!!.but GPS problem solved (mines I don't know about others users).

well there is no way of telling of when you will get what you ask for, or if they are working for it on the first place

THis is SONY,we are neither getting the latest Kernel. 3.4 nor JB 4.2 sad but true.

If we get those two updates i will never ever buy any other brand than sony but i know that wont happen even in my dreams !!:smileylaugh::smileylaugh:

Even if we got jellybean 4.2 update.It will be just extra firmware number & nothing else.Due to lack of necessary hardware on our xperia P we hardly got half of the real jellybean functions in our latest 4.1.2 jellybean update.So it's sure that it can not handle 4.2 functions like sphere camera & more.

yah, I heard that the Samsung Galaxy S2 will just stay on 4.1.2, Galaxy S2 is almost as powerful as our Xperia P, so we might not get 4.2.2( *crossed fingers if Sony did) but I'm very sure we'll mostly get firmware updates. ^^like update for 6.2.A

New kernel? 4.2.2 update? lol, it's not even April 1st.

The phone launched in 2.3.7, got upgraded to 4.0.4 and will stay on 4.1.2. It will be a miracle if our device gets 4.2.2.

Also Sony has a looooot better job to do rather than updating "old" phones (sarcasm), like selling new devices every 6-12 months. Don't you think? :smileysilly:.

Yeah! Due to insufficient necessary hardware, sony can't update our old xperia model into the latest features. Their focusing on the competition right now, having octacore or dual quadcore smartphones. You're right, having htc phones and samsung phones might be better, but they sell it on higher price compared to sony. Htc phones price is as  h e l l  as apple phones in terms of prices. Haha

But have to agree Samsung is the best overall. their phones may be plasticky but if u give me a Bug free Quad core and make it a with cheap plastic still i am game for it any time !! my nexrt phone either Samsung Galaxy S 5 or Iphone 6
